At the Sea Side

 

Ella says:  On July 4th, a friend invited us and some other families from church to the beach. We had a good time at the beach and playing at their shore house.  We also had a yummy supper there. I helped my younger brothers and Lucy to make a sand castle.  And we also played with boogie boards in the water.  It was very fun.

Lucy says: It was fun at the BEACH. We built a BIG wall around us to block the waves.  Sometimes it worked, but with the BIG waves, it went in. The waves would moisten the sand so we could use it.  Some friends invited us to the beach and that is why we were there.  We also saw some other friends from church there.  We had supper and dessert there.  We even had trifle cake!At the beach, Ella and I-- we rode some waves on the boogie board.  Since the waves were chilly, afterwards we out sand on our legs.  Mom adjusted the sand to make it look like we had mermaid tails!

 

Fred says:  It was the BEST day!  And our wall was HUGE! We had fun! 

 

 Jay says: It was fun! I buried myself while there was one teeny bit of sand in my eye.  I was feeding the waves sand, running away from the waves (because I was afraid they thought I was a crab lasagna).
